This Alto model from the studio 49 range has 16 all aluminium note bars, which offer excellent sustain across the range, and are mounted on a solid pine resonance box which further enhances the sound quality. The box itself is of a patented design which has many resonance chambers incorporated and also a durable bar seating which helps the instrument last extremely well in classroom use. Complete with a pair of beaters and of a compact and easy to store design, it is the ideal traditional classroom instrument.
