About Frederick Hyde Music Distribution

Welcome to Frederick Hyde, a leading supplier and reseller of musical instruments and accessories based in Haslemere, UK.

As part of the Frederick Hyde group, our brands include Chamberlain Music, Musisca, Octopus Ukulele, Percussion Plus, Recorder Workshop, and Tom & Will. Frederick Hyde Distribution operates as the Business-to-Business division, serving music retailers, education suppliers, and international distributors.

In addition to our own products, we are the UK home for a number of key brands, including Izzo Samba, Jumbie Jam, Nuvo, Majestic Percussion, Manhasset Music Stands, Studio 49, and more. Over the years, our extensive collection of brands and products has naturally leaned towards those which support and engage with the music education sector.

Our story

Frederick Hyde Ltd. began as a small shop in Haslemere in 1990 and has steadily grown over the last 35 years. In January 2023, we moved to a superb new location with offices and showroom directly opposite our existing 30,000 sq. ft warehouse. With around 40 staff, most of whom are based in our Haslemere offices and warehouse, the company now operates an increasingly large operation, supplying thousands of individuals, schools, and other businesses in the UK and worldwide.

Although primarily based in Haslemere, we also own and run a manufacturing facility in Leicestershire, where Percussion Plus produces a variety of percussion instruments, mallets, and beaters, along with our world famous musical Wak-a-Tubes.

With a friendly and musically trained sales team looking after business customers in the UK and internationally, we take pride in offering a consistently positive customer experience. From egg shakers and espresso sets to timpani and trombone bags - even xylophones and x-frame stands - Frederick Hyde can always deliver!
