This book is aimed at the beginner AND the teacher - it's written so that a beginner can follow it on his/her own, or a teacher can use it as a teaching aid. It's clearly laid out, easy to understand and provides a good introduction to the world of Samba music. The book covers the various instruments used in Samba, the main styles of Samba (with a brief introduction on each which covers its development & how it should be played), easy to follow breaks for all the instruments (with samples on the CD), and suggested exercises and group activities. A very useful book!
