Replacement wooden cover plates set

This is a replacement cover plates set for the S-64C, S-64CW and F-64C

By replacing the original metal covers with this product, you can obtain more warm sound compared to the rounded, glossy tone of metal covers. The distinctive character of the tone becomes especially noticeable when sustaining notes for a long time or when playing with a percussive expression.



Before installation

  • Please prepare a No. 1 Phillips screwdriver (NOT supplied)
  • The cover with the hole numbers printed on it is the upper cover, and the one without them is the lower cover. If the covers are installed incorrectly, the reeds may touch the inside of the cover during playing. Please be sure to install them correctly.

How to install

  • 1. Remove the upper and lower covers of the harmonica you want to replace.
  • 2. Attach the upper and lower covers of the CV-S64W to the harmonica comb.
  • 3. Insert the nut from the bottom cover side, hold it in place with your finger, then insert the screw from the top cover side and tighten it with a screwdriver.

Things to look out for

To improve the adhesion of the covers to the comb, if the valve adhesive has overflowed as shown in the diagram, perform the following steps before attaching the covers.

Check all the valves and trim off any excess:

  • Adhesive protruding on the left side when viewed from the blow hole side.
  • Adhesive where the gap from the blow hole side exceeds 2mm.
  • Perform the same procedure on the lower plate as well.

Important information

  • This product cannot be used with models other than those listed above.
  • Because the covers are made of natural materials, please note that there may be slight surface irregularities, knots, or variations in colour.
  • Be sure to use the included dedicated screws and nuts when installing the covers.
  • Although the walnut covers are coated, touching them with your hands or mouth may cause allergic reactions depending on individual sensitivity. If this occurs, stop using the product immediately and consult a physician.

Caution: Be careful not to injure yourself with a utility knife or similar tool, and avoid bending the valves while performing this procedure.
