Push, pump, play!

The Suzuki P-tunes music push pump set is an innovative, hands-on musical resource that produces sound through air pressure rather than electronics. Consisting of five colour-coded push pumps from C#2 to A#2, the set offers an easy way to expand your MPP-8 diatonic push pump set to a fully chromatic scale. Each note sounds when pressed, with an internal reed producing a clear, tuned pitch without the need for batteries or power supplies.

Place them on a table and play. Perfect for early years music development, you can even attach them to your wrist to play on the move. Whether you are introducing young children to the idea of harmony and melody, or helping them explore new sounds in a group, the P-tunes push pump set is the perfect introduction. The clear, colour coded, fun stickers on top of each push pump make each note recognisable and creates a simple teaching/learning tool.

Push-powered fun

Unlike electronic musical devices, the P-tunes set creates sound by pushing air through an internal reed. This simple mechanical design provides immediate sound production without any electronics, making the instruments ready to use at any time. No electronics means less time spend maintaing the instruments and more time playing them!

Chromatic expansion set

This 5-note expansion set includes the notes C#2, D#2, F#2, G#2, and A#2. It is designed to be combined with the MPP-8 push pump diatonic set for a full 1-octave chromatic scale.

Colour-coded note identification

Each push pump features a distinct colour and note marking, making pitches easy to identify at a glance. The visual layout simplifies note recognition and helps users quickly locate the correct pitch during musical activities.

Multiple playing options

The pumps can be used on a desk or flat surface, or attached to the wrist for greater mobility. This flexible design allows the set to be adapted to different musical activities and performance styles.

How to play the P-tunes push pump

Place it on a desk or flat surface and play

Place it on a flat and stable surface such as a desk and lightly press the center of the top head (Do-Re-Mi sticker part) with the hand from above, or tap it lightly to play.

*If it deviates from the center or pushing it too strongly or quickly may not produce a good sound.

Attach it to the arms and legs

There is a hole in the bottom surface that the elasticated band or string can be threaded through. Playable using your body by putting it through as shown in the illustration and attaching it to your arms and legs.

*When attaching, be careful not to over tighten on your arms and legs with the elasticated band or string.

Variations on usage

It can be developled into various game, up to the ingenuity of the user, such as putting through the string and tying it to a wire net.
