Introducing the Sonix by MMX 63 student Sandalwood violin bow

The MMX63 Student series bows are a notch above the standard student bow offering and make an excellent first bow, replacement bow or classroom spare. Available in sizes from 1/16 to 4/4, they are popular with teachers, schools and progressing students looking for a reliable and responsive bow.

These bows are consistently produced using a composite wood, with detailed frog sliders, mother of pearl inlays, and ebony and white copper fittings. The octagonal sandalwood stick has a gentle curve and good springy tension to help with string crossing and various bowing techniques, while the lapping provides balanced weighting and comfortable handling. They’re also fitted with white unbleached horsehair.

The carefully balanced construction helps provide comfortable control and manoeuvrability, supporting the development of good bowing technique while reducing fatigue during longer practice sessions.

Also available for viola, cello and French-style double bass.
