The 2000 range from Studio 49 feature hand crafted solid rosewood note bars mounted onto a solid pine resonance box. This instrument is the bass chromatic half model which fills in the accidentals missing on the 49-BX2000 diatonic model to create a fully chromatic instrument. Its worth mentioning that this model comes without the F# and Bb note bars as these come with the diatonic model. The resonance box has a rather unique design which includes a number of separate resonance chambers which create excellent sound quality. There are also integrated handles for easy movement and the whole instrument is comparatively compact which makes for easy storage.
