The 1600 range of xylophones from Studio 49 feature solid wood note bars, crafted from Pao Rosa which is a sustainable alternative to rosewood. The sound quality is excellent, full, rich and thanks to the patented design of the resonance box has bright and sustaining character. This alto chromatic half model is designed specifically to be paired with the 49-AX1600 diatonic model which then creates a fully chromatic instrument. It is worth noting that this instrument does not come with Bb and F# notebars as these are included with the diatonic model.
A good choice for education, the instrument is built to last and is also easy to move, thanks to its built-in handles, and takes up minimum space in the store cupboard.
