A box of eight traditional Christmas crackers with a musical twist!
Each cracker contains a chime bar inside, along with the standard hat and joke. Once everyone has cracked theirs open (and finished groaning at the jokes) it's time to start playing some tunes.
Pass the numbered badges to each corresponding chime player, hand the included baton to your nominated conductor, and watch your Christmas party deteriorate into chaos as everyone attempts to keep some sense of musical harmony in what is being played.
Following the easy sheet music supplied, the conductor simply points at the player with the corresponding badge number to signal that they should hit their chime bar. The result: angelic melodies... or helpless laughter!

If there are fewer than 8 people round the table, assign multiple chime bars to the more experienced percussionists and watch them struggle to remember which one they're supposed to hit when!
These chime bars also work well for keeping small children occupied even after Christmas, as you can let them hit the bars for as long as they want while you kick your feet up (and keep some earplugs in).
