Introducing the MMX Soloist Cello
The MMX Soloist A grade cello is hand crafted by master luthier Guofang Wang in the MMX workshop in Bejing from the best tonewoods. The instrument has an A grade Asian spruce top with very tight grain and a beautifully figured quartersawn solid maple back. These superb tonewoods are ready for you to apply your own trade secret oil varnish to voice this beautiful instrument with a full, rich sound with superb tonal variation.
The MMX range
MMX has been working with master luthier Guofang Wang and his family workshop for nearly a decade, producing a broad selection of orchestral stringed instruments. For the beginner, the Student series of violins, violas, and celli offer the best start in the playing journey right through to our Signature instruments, which are perfectly at home in professional orchestral and solo work.
Attention to detail
Each instrument is diligently cared for at every stage of the production process, ensuring incredible value for money at each price point. Attention to detail is at the heart of every MMX violin, viola, cello and double bass. The tone wood panels are sourced from the forests of Sichuan or Yunnan province and seasoned to increase their strength.
Exceptional craftsmanship
From the materials used to the way they are carved and assembled, MMX aims to deliver instruments that will surpass all expectations!
